The third film in the Kino B&W range — the most contrasty and dramatic. Ultra-low ISO 8, very fine grain, extremely high contrast evoking film noir classics. Narrow exposure latitude for sharp tonal transitions. Where the Babylon Kino leans soft, the Fantôme produces deep blacks and bright whites with very few midtones. A panchromatic emulsion on a clear base, compatible with reversal (positive) development.

Limites

The Fantôme Kino is coated on a clear film base, compatible with reversal (positive) development. Its resolution allows for very large enlargements from a 35mm negative without loss of detail. Its non-standard ISO 8 requires setting the camera to ISO 6, or compensating exposure accordingly.
