FPP Low ISO Mystery 1 6
ISO 6 specialty ultra-fine intermediate
~10–14 € (USA)
An ultra-low-sensitivity B&W film, ISO 3–6 — an unidentified mystery emulsion from the FPP. Very fine grain, polyester base. For manual 35mm cameras only — ISO too low for automatic cameras. Standard B&W development.
Atouts
+ Ultra-fine grain
+ A unique photographic experience
+ Standard B&W development
Limites
− ISO 3–6 — a tripod is essential
− No DX coding
− A mystery emulsion — variable results
− Manual cameras only
The FPP regularly offers 'Mystery Films' — emulsions whose exact origin isn't disclosed. Low ISO Mystery is one of the most extreme: ISO 3 or 6, reserved for photographers comfortable with manual exposure and a tripod. The emulsion changes from batch to batch — uncertainty is part of the journey.
