The only B&W film manufactured in Italy. An emulsion based on the 1960s P30 cinema formula, revived via Kickstarter in 2014. Very high silver content (5 g/m²) for strong contrast, deep blacks, and near-invisible grain. Narrow exposure latitude. DX coded. Development uses Kodak Tri-X times as a starting point.

The original P30 was used by Fellini and Antonioni. Film Ferrania raised $322,420 from over 5,500 backers in 2014 to restart production. The P30 Alpha launched in 2017 as a byproduct of equipment testing for a future E-6 slide film — it wasn't originally planned.
