Leica's first official film — a super-panchromatic ISO 50 B&W emulsion. Ultra-fine grain, resolution up to 280 line pairs/mm. Sensitivity extended to 780nm — light infrared use with color filters. No DX coding. 0.1mm base with anti-halation layer. Compatible with all B&W developers. 36 exposures, 35mm. Made in Germany. Launched in August 2025 for the Leica I's centenary. Likely based on the Adox HR-50 emulsion.

Leica had never made film in 100 years — the 'Leica film' of 1925 came from Kodak, Agfa, and Perutz. Monopan 50 is the first film to officially carry Leica's red dot, launched for the Leica I's centenary. Its name combines Monochrom (Leica's B&W camera line), Panchromatic, and ISO 50. The community quickly noted a strong similarity to Adox HR-50, made in Bad Saarow, Germany — Leica confirms German manufacturing without specifying the emulsion.
