Efke KB 25
ISO 25 N&B ultra-fine intermediate
expired stock (rare)
A high-silver-content B&W film, ISO 25 — a single-layer emulsion based on 1950s ADOX formulas. Ultra-fine grain, 115 lp/mm resolution, wide latitude. An emulsion very sensitive to moisture — must be handled with care. Made in Samobor, Croatia. Production ended in 2012 following a coating-machine breakdown.
Atouts
+ Original 1950s ADOX formula
+ Ultra-fine single-layer grain
+ High silver content — rich tones
Limites
− Discontinued — expired stock only
− Very fragile emulsion when wet
− ISO 25 — bright light needed
Fotokemika acquired ADOX's production machinery from DuPont in 1970 and kept making the original 1950s formulas until 2012 — offering film with recipes unchanged for 60 years. The August 2012 breakdown of their coating machine ended this unique history.
