The Santa Rae 1000 is a high-speed ISO 1000 B&W film from Santa Film (Finland), based on respooled cinema stock. Very pronounced grain, high contrast. Designed for extreme low-light conditions — concerts, dark interiors, night photography — where even ISO 400 isn't enough.

Santa Film is a Finnish lab specializing in respooling cinema stock for film photographers. At ISO 1000, the Santa Rae occupies a rare niche between classic ISO 800 films (CineStill 800T) and ultra-fast pushed films (Delta 3200, T-Max P3200). Its massive grain is deliberately chosen as an aesthetic signature — not despite itself.
