Kodak Pro Image 100

ISO 100 specialty fine all levels
~11–14 €
A professional Kodak film specifically designed for tropical conditions (high heat and humidity). Neutral, slightly cool look, very accurate colors, very fine grain. It produces very clean, precise images, close to Portra 160 but with a more neutral character. Very popular in Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Atouts
+ Very fine grain for an ISO 100 film
+ Resistant to heat and humidity
+ Neutral, accurate, precise look
+ More affordable than Portra
Limites
Poor availability in Europe
Less warm and flattering than Portra or Gold
Little known among European photographers
Kodak Pro Image 100 is nearly impossible to find in Europe but everywhere in Southeast Asia, India, and Latin America. Its heat- and humidity-resistant formula responds to the harsh storage and use conditions in those regions — ordinary films degrade much faster in the tropics.
