A B&W infrared film sensitive to 820nm — one of the most sensitive infrared films ever sold. Characteristic pronounced grain, a very strong infrared effect with a red or R72 filter. Acetate base, high silver content. Production ended with Fotokemika's closure in 2012.

Efke IR 820 was considered the most radical infrared film available on the market — its sensitivity extending to 820nm made it the ideal choice for spectacular infrared effects. Its disappearance in 2012 left a gap that the Rollei Infrared 400 and Kodak Aerochrome have tried to fill.
