Kodak Portra 160 NC
ISO 160 specialty fine all levels
~16–20 €
An ISO 160 color negative film — the Natural Color version of Kodak's Portra line. Natural, soft colors, moderate contrast, excellent skin tones. A precursor to today's Portra 160. Ideal for portrait and wedding photography. Available in 35mm and 120.
Atouts
+ VC: warmth and saturation superior to today's Portra
+ NC: absolute neutrality for studio calibration
+ Two color profiles to choose from
Limites
− Slightly lower latitude than the reformulated Portra
− Slightly more visible grain
Portra 160 NC (Natural Color) and its twin VC (Vivid Color) were the two variants of the Portra 160 — one for a natural look, the other more saturated. Kodak simplified the line in 2011 by merging the two into a single Portra 160.
