An ISO 50 color slide film from ORWO (Original Wolfen, East Germany), the Orwochrom UT (Umkehr Tageslicht — daylight reversal) line. Based on the original Agfacolor process inherited from the pre-war Wolfen plant. A very characteristic color look, often described as golden 'afternoon' light. A specific C-9165 color process, pre-E6, achievable today only by a few specialized labs.

The Orwochrom UT18 is a direct testament to the 1936 Agfacolor Neu — the original color process developed in Wolfen, left practically unchanged on the East German side after Germany's partition and ORWO's creation. The UT line included several speeds (UT15, UT18, UT20, UT21). Today, developing this film requires the original C-9165 process or an E-6 cross-process — both giving very different, unpredictable results on such an old film.
