The 2018 relaunch of Ektachrome E100 was one of the most celebrated moments of the film revival — Kodak had discontinued the entire Ektachrome line in 2012, leaving the color slide market entirely to Fujifilm. Its return, after a widely noted marketing campaign, proved the film market was strong enough to justify such investment. Today's E100 is very close to the original E100G but with a slight reformulation for modern processing.
