Kodachrome 25 was the choice of National Geographic photographers for its legendary colors and exceptional archival stability (50+ years without fading). The K-14 process was so complex that only a handful of labs in the world could develop it. The last K-14 lab (Dwayne's Photo, Kansas) closed in 2010. Simon & Garfunkel dedicated the song 'Kodachrome' to it.
