The Fomapan R100 is an ISO 100 B&W slide film from Foma Bohemia (Czech Republic) — the budget alternative to the Adox Scala. It produces true B&W positive slides through a specific reversal development process. Fine grain, high contrast, deep blacks. Compatible with B&W reversal kits (Foma Fomadirect or equivalent).

Foma Bohemia is one of the few manufacturers still producing a B&W slide film — a photographic curiosity dating back to the origins of direct positive photography. The R100 (R for Reversible) can also be developed as a standard B&W negative if the reversal process is too involved, though it then loses its direct-positive character. Its notably lower price compared to the Adox Scala makes it the ideal entry point for exploring this process.
