A panchromatic ISO 400 B&W film (formerly rated ASA 320-500 depending on the era) — a high-speed film from Ansco available in 35mm and 120. Pronounced grain, contrast that varies with development, generous latitude. A direct competitor to Kodak Tri-X. Rebranded GAF Super Hypan after 1967. Used by the US military in bulk 100-foot rolls.

Extremely rare
The Super Hypan was Ansco's answer to Kodak Tri-X — a high-speed film for photojournalism and low-light photography. Its nominal 500 ISO speed was exceptional for its time. Some American press photographers preferred it to Tri-X for its more expressive grain.
