Double-X 5222 is one of the most widely used B&W cinema films in Hollywood since the 1950s. Silberra, founded in 2017 by a Russian distributor of Ilford and Foma, had the idea to respool this cinema film into DX-coded 35mm cartridges to make it accessible to photographers. Its extreme push/pull latitude (from 6 to 6400 ISO) makes it one of the most versatile films on the market — a single roll can adapt to any lighting situation.
