The successor to Shanghai's old GP3 emulsion, one of the best-known film brands in the Asian market. Fine grain, fairly strong contrast, and a slightly vintage look with a narrower tonal range than Western brands. Represents an authentically different kind of photography — the inimitable look of 1980s-90s Chinese emulsions.

Shanghai GP3 was the best-selling film in China during the 1980s and 1990s — the Chinese equivalent of Kodak Gold. After a period of irregular production, it was relaunched and is now found in the hands of photographers worldwide who appreciate its distinctive 'non-Western' aesthetic.
