A professional ISO 160 color negative film from Kodak, the Vericolor III (VPS) line. A 1983 improvement on the Vericolor II NPS, recalibrated from 100 to 160 ISO. Fine grain, excellent skin-tone reproduction, daylight balanced. Many photographers rated it at 125 ISO for optimal results. Replaced by the Portra 160 in 1998, marking the birth of the modern Portra line.

The Vericolor III VPS is the direct ancestor of the Portra 160 — when Kodak launched the Portra line in 1998, the VPS 160 was simply renamed. Many photographers still consider expired VPS rolls a 'vintage' version of the Portra, with slightly different skin tones due to emulsion aging.
