The ProFoto XL 100 (sometimes spelled Pro-Foto or Pro Photo) was a mystery to many Western photographers who discovered it without ever seeing it in a store — it was a regional variant of Kodak's Gold line, packaged close to the Ektar but with a deliberately less saturated look. A successor to the older 'Image Pro 100,' it gradually disappeared as Kodak's consumer color offering contracted.
