The Kodak Ektar 100 is the finest-grain color negative film Kodak has ever produced — ISO 100, RMS grain of 4, resolution of 200 lines/mm. Very saturated, vivid colors, high contrast, particularly intense reds and oranges. Ideal for landscapes in bright sun, nature photography, travel, and any situation where color accuracy and grain fineness are the priority. Standard C-41 compatible.

The Ektar 100 launched in 2008 as the finest-grain color negative film ever produced — a claim Kodak still stands by today. Initially met with skepticism (photographers were used to Portra's softer grain), it gradually won over landscape and nature photographers looking for a negative alternative to Velvia. Its high saturation sets it apart from Portra — where Portra flatters skin tones, Ektar makes landscapes and primary colors pop.
