Agfa (Allemagne)
Agfapan APX 100
ISO 100 N&B fine all levels
expired stock
A panchromatic ISO 100 B&W film — an original Agfa emulsion from Leverkusen, introduced in 1989. Ultra-fine cubic grain, high resolution, soft, romantic contrast. One of the most beloved B&W films of its era for portraiture. Very different from the AGFAPhoto APX 100 (a Harman emulsion) that succeeded it.
Atouts
+ Ultra-fine cubic grain — exceptional for portraits
+ Soft, romantic contrast
+ A genuine Leverkusen Agfa emulsion
Limites
− Discontinued — expired stock only
− Very rare
The original Agfapan APX 100 is considered by many one of the finest B&W films ever made for portraits — its cubic grain gave a softness and depth that T-grain emulsions don't reproduce. Adox has spent years trying to recreate this emulsion with its CMS and HR films.
