Adox CMS 20 II
ISO 20 specialty ultra-fine Expert
~12–16 €
The world's finest-grain B&W film — ISO 20, resolution up to 800 line pairs/mm. Virtually no grain. Requires the dedicated Adox CMS developer (SPUR Dokufin/Adotech) to realize its potential — with other developers, grain rises and resolution drops sharply. No DX coding. 36 exposures, 35mm and 120. Made in Bad Saarow, Germany.
Atouts
+ The world's finest grain — 800 lp/mm
+ Enlargements up to 2.5m with no grain
+ Available in 35mm and 120
Limites
− ISO 20 — very bright light required
− Adotech/CMS developer mandatory
− No DX coding
− Very technical — not for beginners
CMS 20 II can produce 2.5-meter-diagonal enlargements with no visible grain — a performance with no equal in the industry. Originally designed for technical and scientific micro-photography. Adox developed the Adotech developer specifically for this film — without it, you get an ISO 6 with pronounced grain. Version II improves red-light sensitivity.
