The Film Washi S 50 is a panchromatic ISO 25 B&W film from Film Washi (Tours, France), based on Japanese silk paper (S for Soie/Silk) coated with an emulsion. The fine texture of the silk shows faintly through the images, creating a unique look. 12 or 24 exposures.

Film Washi S uses Japanese silk paper — thinner than the standard washi paper used in Film X, it lets light through its fibers slightly. The look has a particular delicacy, with a faintly textile texture visible in flat areas. Made by hand in Tours by Céline Flécheux.
