A little-known but well-loved Japanese line among informed enthusiasts. The Centuria 200 offered a soft look with a slightly desaturated palette and very flattering skin tones. The 800 was one of the few quality fast films of its era. The Konica-Minolta merger, followed by the abandonment of the film market, ended it all.

The 2003 merger between Konica and Minolta had already sealed the fate of the film photography lineup — both companies shifting focus to copiers and digital cameras. In 2006, the Sony-Konica-Minolta photo joint venture ended all film camera production, taking the last Centuria references down with it.
