Flic Film Cine Colour 250D
ISO 250 cinema medium all levels
~15–18 €
Kodak Vision3 250D respooled by Flic Film (Canada) into 35mm 36-exposure cartridges. A daylight-balanced ISO 250 cinema film. Fine grain, wide exposure latitude, exceptional highlight control. DLT (Advanced Dye Layering Technology) — reduced grain in the shadows for remarkable low-light detail. Native ECN-2 development. C-41 compatible with a mandatory remjet prebath. No DX coding.
Atouts
+ Vision3 250D — Kodak cinema quality
+ Ultra-fine grain, DLT — clean shadows
+ Wide exposure latitude
+ Natural, vivid skin tones
+ C-41 compatible with a remjet prebath
Limites
− Remjet present — ECN-2 prebath mandatory for C-41
− No DX coding — manual ISO setting
− Few ECN-2 labs in France
Vision3 250D is Kodak's benchmark cinema emulsion — used in Hollywood productions. Flic Film respools it directly from 1,000-foot rolls by machine, the same way major manufacturers do. The same emulsion is found in CineStill 400D and Hoasca 200 — but without the remjet layer, so it's directly C-41 compatible.
