The Kodak HIE (High Speed Infrared) is the absolute reference in analog infrared photography. Its lack of an anti-halation layer gives it a unique soft glow around overexposed areas. Discontinued in 2007, it remains the most sought-after infrared film on eBay and its disappearance is universally mourned. The Rollei Infrared 400 and Ilford SFX 200 are often cited as alternatives but don't reproduce the same look.
