Ferrania Solaris FG Plus 200

ISO 200 color fine all levels
expired stock
An ISO 200 color negative film — an improved version of Ferrania's Solaris line with FG Plus technology. Intense, vivid colors, high contrast, a characteristic warm palette. Often called 'better than Vista Plus.' Sold under many white-label brands (Truprint, York Photo...). The base for films distributed at Poundland UK.
Atouts
+ Unique vivid, intense colors
+ High contrast — punchy results
+ A characteristic warm Ferrania palette
Limites
Discontinued — expired stock only
High contrast is tricky in harsh light
Ferrania Solaris FG Plus 200 was sold in twin-packs for 50p a roll at Poundland UK — with the expiration date deliberately removed. Despite this humble past, it's now considered one of the best Ferrania color films ever made, with colors many compare favorably to Fuji Superia. Its disappearance with the Ferrania plant's 2009 closure is mourned.
